Welcome from Our Basileus
[Basileus Name] · Basileus, Kappa Xi Nu
Brothers and friends, it is with great pride that I welcome you to the home of Kappa Xi Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Since our chartering in the Greater Jacksonville area, we have carried the torch of our four Cardinal Principles, Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift, with unwavering commitment.
Our chapter is more than an organization; we are a brotherhood bound by service, shaped by legacy, and driven by our duty to uplift the communities we call home. Whether you are a prospective member, a community partner, or a returning Que, know that you are always welcome in our circle.
In the bonds of Omega,
Our Heritage
On November 17, 1911, four men, Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper, Frank Coleman, and Ernest Everett Just, founded Omega Psi Phi at Howard University in Washington, D.C., making it the first Black Greek-letter fraternity established at an historically Black university.
The founders enshrined four Cardinal Principles, Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift, as the living spine of every chapter's work. More than a century later, those principles remain as urgent and alive as ever.
Kappa Xi Nu Chapter was chartered in Jacksonville, Florida to serve Duval County and the broader Jacksonville region. In our decades of service, we have awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships, mentored generations of young men, and stood on the front lines of civic engagement across our community.

National Initiatives
Through nationally chartered programs, Kappa Xi Nu reaches thousands of individuals across Jacksonville each year, in classrooms, boardrooms, and communities.
Every November, Omega chapters nationwide host Achievement Week, a celebration of academic excellence, service, and community progress. Kappa Xi Nu honors outstanding students, educators, and civic leaders across Duval County with awards, forums, and youth recognition ceremonies.
The Talent Hunt Program is one of Omega's most cherished national traditions, an annual talent competition that has cultivated artists, speakers, and performers for decades. Our chapter hosts regional preliminary rounds, empowering Jacksonville youth to discover and develop their gifts on a national stage.
Omega's Social Action program reflects our fraternity's belief that Brotherhood demands civic courage. Through voter registration drives, community town halls, legislative advocacy, and partnerships with local nonprofits, Kappa Xi Nu ensures that Omegas stand at the center of every conversation that shapes our community.
We never lose a brother, we reclaim them. Our Reclamation & Retention initiative actively welcomes dormant Omegas back into active fellowship, connecting them with meaningful service opportunities, chapter resources, and the bonds of brotherhood that time cannot diminish.
